When to Schedule
The ideal time for a newborn session is 0-11 days after birth. Your baby girl or baby boy can usually fall into a deep sleep that allows us to pose in those adorable sleepy poses during the photo session. The sleepy poses are not always guaranteed, of course, but I have some tricks to help baby snooze.
What to Expect
The Newborn Session will be perfect for capturing your precious new family in your environment with your family. Capturing the real moments along with posing of the new family and baby.
If you wish to have those perfectly posed photos with baby in a deep sleep posed in baskets, beds, etc make sure to book the newborn experience. This will include more time to get baby into that deep sleep and does require baby to be 0-11 days old.
We will need a little more time and I will bring along any props you request. Plan for between 1-3 hours to allow time for diaper changes and feeding. Most of the time will be me posing baby. Parents can relax during this time. Occasionally, I will need the assistance of a parent in some of the poses and may need to feed baby during the session.
What to Bring
-the baby
-milk for baby
-a pacifier (only if you use one)
-any outfits you wish to incorporate (Upon request: I have wraps, furs, headbands, etc)
-any special item (for example: a stuffed animal that has meaning or a blanket that was made by a family member (this is not required))
